When it comes to holidays, the movies might be a good solution to relax and enjoy your free time. But we just don’t have enough idea or the time searching the web for the right movie. Because of that, it is better to put down the list earlier, so that we can just choose one and lay down enjoying ourselves. Depending on your favorite genre, you can choose the movie from our list and get yourself the two (or three) hours of fun! Here is the list we have created for you of our top movies to be watched online during winter (or summer) holidays.

1. Home Alone

Home Alone is probably one of most watched holiday movies ever. With an amazingly cute little blond boy, it reminds us all of the time spent with our family while we were watching this movie and laughing together. It is a catchy and interesting story about an 8-year-old boy, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), who is being left accidentally alone in his home by his family. They go on a holiday trip to France and completely forget about him. He stays at home by himself and tries to enjoy his newly-acquired freedom but something different is going to happen… A pair of burglars breaks into his home, to rob the house. Kevin is amazingly clever, showing us how he deals with the troubles on his own terms. It is a children’s movie but all the adults from around the world love it. It will make your whole family laugh and enjoy – and then you will look for its sequels.

2. The Holiday

The Holiday is a cute romantic comedy. It shows us many things, from friendship to true love, and really takes all of our attention to it. It also explains the amazing game of a destiny and love which bounds the lives of many. If you love comedies, and at the same time believe in love and friendship, this one is going to blow you away! You’re going to enjoy it seeing Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black all in one place.

3. Notting Hill

Notting Hill is one of those movies which we would perhaps never choose to watch by ourselves. Still, when we see it on TV we delightfully say “Oh, look!” and immediately start watching it. It is a classic. Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant evoke the picture of a bookstore owner who meets beautiful and famous Anna Scott. He sees her again later on, and the story starts to unroll into an interesting romance. They fall in love and can’t believe it at all, neither could we. The struggle for the most popular women is going to be hard, but it is going to be worth it. Watch this movie with your closest ones and enjoy the whole atmosphere – you’ll see the miraculous effects!

4. Elf

Elf is also one of the famous holiday movies. It was meant to be for children, but everyone likes watching it! Will Ferrel is playing Buddy, who was a baby raised by Santa and elves. He later goes to meet his real family in New York. His father, though, doesn’t know that he was even born! Buddy is wandering through New York and learning about the modern life. Later on, he will get to know his father better and determine his most important things in life.

5. The Polar Express

The Polar Express is one of the excellent animated movies, rarely forgotten when it comes to holidays. It takes us all on a magical adventure to the North Pole. The story presents the self-discovery of a boy who travels to the North Pole and it gives us an insight into his feelings and the things he begins to understand along the way. He learns about life, love, friendship and bravery, and that everything is possible for those who believe. It is perfectly detailed and voices are lent by some of the Hollywood’s famous actors: Tom Hanks, Leslie Zemeckis, and Eddie Deezen.
