As Mike Seaver on “Growing Pains,” Kirk Cameron earned many young fans back in the 80s. He also proved he’s got the acting chops after getting 2 Golden Globe nominations for his work on the series. He went on to star in “Like Father Like Son” near the end of the decade. He then bowed from the spotlight after announcing he’ll focus on Christian evangelism from then on. Currently, the 49-year-old has co-founded an evangelical ministry called “The Way of the Master” and has made attempts to translate his faith onto film through “Left Behind” and “Fireproof.” The 2014 release, “Saving Christmas,” was not well-received though.
