Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, a.k.a. George Michael, was one of the best British exports in the 80s, churning out pop hit after pop hit as part of the music duo Wham! and even as a solo artist years afterward. He continued his best-selling streak in the next decade but has run into legal trouble at the turn of the millennium due to personal issues. He later revived his music career and staged a tour, but later faded from the spotlight once more. George Michael passed away on December 25, 2016.
