From commercials, the actor Anthony Michael Hall transitioned to acting on stage and later to film, starting with “The Gold Bug” in 1980. However, it was in “National Lampoon’s Vacation” that he caught the attention of the audiences. He went on to be a teen heartthrob thanks to “The Breakfast Club” and “Sixteen Candles.” His inclusion in the Brat Pack of the 80s solidified his teen idol status, albeit he was the rather brainy guy if the group. His alcohol issues made him take a break from his career, slowly returning to the limelight via TV appearances and low-budget films. He eventually landed hits via “The Dead Zone” and “The Dark Knight.” He continues to act in film and TV to this day.
