The former child actor found success early on, winning a Golden Globe award for his first film, “The Champ,” at only 9 years old in 1980. Ricky Schroder later starred in TV series “Silver Spoons” in 1982. After the show ended in 1986, he pursued college studies while continuing to act. He appeared on “Call of the Wild” and “Lonesome Dove.” Later, he became known for his role on “NYPD Blue.” Currently, he has shifted to behind-the-camera work and has set up a production company.
