This actor C. Thomas Howell had the luck of having Steven Spielberg’s box-office hit “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” as his first acting vehicle. He went on to become a star after playing Ponyboy Curtis on “The Outsiders,” launching him to teen idol-dom. He went on to star in “Red Dawn” and “Grandview, USA.” His winning streak didn’t continue to the 90s, though. However, he continued to work in the industry and has appeared on the shows “Sons of Anarchy,” “Sleepy Hollow,” and “Blue Bloods,” among others. The 53-year-old has since dabbled in directing.
