This American musician first tasted success across the pond. It was in Europe that Huey Lewis became a rather accomplished harmonica player and blues artist. When he returned to the US, he pitched his fortunes with the band Clover but only finally struck gold more than a decade afterward, when he formed his own group, Huey Lewis and the News. They released the albums “Picture This” and “Sports” and managed to make their mark in the music industry. Although their fame slowed down in the next decade, they carried on. In 2010, the group released “Soulsville.” The 69-year-old singer and actor currently still performs on stage and takes acting projects, although not frequently.
