The 50 Brightest Stars of the 80s: Where Are They Now?
Rob Lowe
It’s not surprising to find yet another member of the 80s Brat Pack young actor group in this list, as it was comprised of some of the hottest stars of the decade. Lowe proved he had the acting chops after nabbing a Golden Globe nomination for “Thursday’s Child” in 1983. He went on to star in “The Outsiders” and “St. Elmo’s Fire,” among others. He earned a second Golden Globe nod with “Square Dance.” Although his star somewhat waned in the 90s, he had a career renaissance in the 2000s with the TV series “The West Wing.” He appeared in other TV shows and later dabbled in executive production on legal drama “The Grinder.” To date, the 55-year-old has had 6 Golden Globe nods and continues to work in film on TV.
