The Malaysia-born actress is famous for her leading lady role on “Back to the Future.” Although it was an opportunity of a lifetime, she had to give up on the rest of the installments of the successful franchise after her mom got cancer. Elisabeth Shue replaced her role as Jennifer Parker. She later returned to star in the TV adaptation of “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” in 1986 but bowed out of the spotlight again. In 2011, she resurfaced through a film, “Alien Armageddon.” She did engage in other acting projects after that and focused on running her own business, a high-end apparel store Armani Wells. She also operates a site that sells autographed BTTF merchandise.
