John Avildsen, 81 años. 1935-2017
Avildsen murió en el Centro Médico Cedars-Sinai en L.A el 16 de junio de 2017, tenía 81 años. La causa de su muerte fue cáncer de páncreas. El director fue responsable de algunas de las películas más notables de la historia de Hollywood: ganó un Oscar al Mejor Director en 1977 por Rocky. Otras películas que dirigió incluyen Save the Tiger, Fore Play, The Formula, Neighbors, For Keeps, Lean on Me, Rocky V, The Power of One, 8 Seconds, Inferno y las tres primeras películas de The Karate Kid.
