All the time that Millie had spent with the cuddly Elmo resulted in an extraordinary, yet unintentional outcome. One summer day, Millie was flopping around their paddling pool when she suddenly suffered a seizure. As told by Millie’s mom, Linda, Elmo was quick to run to the rescue and did all she could to drag the little girl out of the pool. That was the day they found out that the then-one-year-old Elmo had the potential to be a therapy dog. Elmo could just sense Millie’s fits.
