In December 2017, Millie had to spend an awful lot of time in the hospital. This was because she had to undergo major brain surgery. At that time, this was seen as the best solution to stop her condition. Unfortunately, the surgery was deemed unsuccessful, which you’ll know why in a while. Even so, it did help improve not just Millie’s memory, but also her concentration. Because of this, she was able to transfer from Green Lane Community Special School to Penketh High School where Elmo can accompany her as he completes his training.
