Prince Charles Paid a Visit to the James Bond Set for a Very Special Reason

There is already something very royal about the entire setting of the James Bond films. Although the character of James Bond is not royal in himself, he is shown working for the British intelligence, and since Britain is a monarchy, ultimately it does mean that Bond serves a royal purpose.

That is why when Prince Charles, the heir apparent to the British throne, visited the set of the next James Bond film this past week, the people on the set couldn’t contain their excitement because he is considered to be one of the most important people in the country that Bond has sworn to protect.

The next James Bond film includes Craig as Bond and actor Rami Malek as the villain.

Paying A Visit

The next installment in the James Bond franchise is being shot at Pinewood studios, which is located just outside of the London area. Actor Daniel Craig, who is the current James Bond, was obviously present on the set and did not hesitate to give the Prince a tour of the entire set.

One of the first things that Craig showed to the Prince was the amazing collection of Aston Martin cars that his character Bond owns. This means that the audiences will get to see these amazing cars return in the next film as well.

Craig also showed the Prince the amazing Aston Martin collection that his character owns in the films.

If the pictures released by the studio for the Prince’s visit are to be taken at face value, then it can be deduced that at least some portion of the film would most likely be taking place in Cuba. This is because the language, as well as other elements depicted on the set during the Prince’s visit, seem to point in that direction.

Meeting the Cast and Crew

Of course, other actors were also present on the set. Charles met with the actor who plays the character of M, the person heading the secret service in Britain in the film, Ralph Fiennes. He also met the director, Cary Joji Fukunaga, who is perhaps one of the very few American’s to be present on the set that day. During this meeting, the Prince was also shown the set that is ultimately depicted as M’s office in the film.

If you have any insight into the Royal family, then you must be aware of the fact that Prince Charles likes to keep the mood as jubilant as possible. Even in the pictures released for his visit, the Prince is shown having the set in a fit of laughter and, although we don’t know what he said, we are sure everyone enjoyed his company.

The Prince made it a point to crack a joke whenever possible, which is why many of the pictures show the cast and crew either smiling or in fits of laughter.

Naturally, the film shooting had to go on, and so shooting resumed and the Prince was allowed to tune into one of the scenes to enjoy the experience in real time. Actress Naomie Harris accompanied the Prince during this activity, after which another picture showed that the Prince even got her in a fit of laughter because of something he said.

The Prince’s visit was not random. He was visiting in the capacity of patron for both the British intelligence services and the Film Institute in Britain.
