Here’s Why Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Holidaying on This Exotic Caribbean Island Twice in Two Years!

It’s that time of the year when families around the world are escaping their homelands and going on vacations, making full use of their children’s summer holidays. And, of course, members of the royal family are no exception, especially the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have children of school-going age and are currently having a great time with their three children on Mustique, an island in the exotic Caribbean region.

With all the efforts they have made in the past year, the Cambridges certainly deserve some time off

If you have been following the Cambridges, then this news should come as no surprise to you because the Middletons, which is Kate’s side of the family, have made it pretty evident in the past that they simply adore Mustique.

According to a source that is close to the royals, the island offers a unique mixture of unparalleled sceneries with an incredible sense of privacy, which is probably why Kate believes it is the best place for her family, including Prince William, to go on vacation.

About Mustique

While you may have never heard of Mustique, the island is worthy of admiration for its distinct qualities. Apart from offering its visitors the perfect opportunity to soak in the sun till their heart is content, the island also has a trustworthy staff at the service of the tourists. This trustworthiness is exactly what makes the royals feel so comfortable whenever they visit; they know their privacy would be respected.

The Cambridges certainly love the outdoors

It was only a year ago that the island had reportedly hosted the Cambridges, which was probably one of the first few times that the entire family of five had gone for a proper vacation.

That trip was made even more memorable as Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton and also third in line to the British throne, celebrated his fifth birthday. This time around, they celebrated his birthday on the same island once again, and only time will tell whether this will become a tradition.

Connected With The Royals

While the island has already gained significance for having hosted the future king’s birthday twice in a row, this is not the only connection it has with the British royal family. Apparently, the island had also been a favorite of the late Princess Margaret, the Queen’s sister, who loved to stay at Les Jolies Eaux, her own villa.

To ensure that the royals are not disturbed on their trip, a no-fly zone is also enacted over the island. And although there are still other people on the island at the same time as the royals, they still respect the privacy of the royal family.

As far as activities go, reports have disclosed that on their trips the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have indulged in sport including tennis as well as snorkeling and scuba diving. On their previous trip, they also danced with the famous Mick Jagger at the Basil’s Bar, a famous place on the Island.

It is expected that the Cambridge royals would be taking time off from all official duties till early September.
