GoT Had Revealed Its Ending in Season 1 in This Shocking Poster! Can You Spot the Clue?

Nobody can deny that Game of Thrones became one of the most widely viewed shows in the entire world. While some watched it on TV, others preferred streaming it via HBO Now or through illegal channels just because they wanted to be the first to know the happenings of the latest episode.

Sophie Turner played the character of Sansa Stark on the show.

Naturally, for a show that had such a huge following, it became necessary to guard its ending, and show creator made sure not even the actors knew what happens at the end of the show, at least till it was absolutely necessary for them to know. However, Sophie Turner was left surprised when she discovered that the ending to the show had been revealed all the way back during the first season of the show.

Completely Shocked

Turner revealed in an interview she was giving to Metro, the newspaper service in the UK, about her film called Dark Phoenix, that she was completely in the dark even about the ending of her own character’s story arc on the show.

When asked whether she knew she would become of her own character on the show, Turner couldn’t say for sure as, according to her, she hadn’t reflected back on all the experiences that her character had gone through before the end, of course apart from the obvious dialogue in the very first episode when Sansa very blatantly reveals her wish of becoming a queen one day.

Sophie’s character Sansa ultimately got what she wanted on the show by becoming Queen in the North.

It was then that Jessica Chastain, who stars with her on the film Dark Phoenix, pointed out that the poster released for the first season of the show has a very interesting graphic on it which categorically links to the very end of the show. Chastain asked Turner whether she had noticed it, to which the latter responded in the negative.

Chastain then went on to explain that the poster she is referring to shows Ned Stark on the throne, and right next to him there is a raven. According to Chastain, this refers to Brandon Stark, as he ultimately becomes the Three-Eyed Raven, and although he does not sit on the Iron Throne, he is the one crowned king.

Being Careful

The Game of Thrones stars have always remained careful that they don’t reveal the shows major plot points before these are actually aired to fans around the world, although sometimes they have still been accused of accidentally revealing them through other mediums, such as a tattoo Turner got back in June 2018, a year before the show ended, which said that the pack, referring to the Starks, survives. Although she denied that it had anything to do with the ending, fans now know that it most certainly did.

Both Turner and Chastain can be seen in the latest installment of the X-Men film.

This is probably why when Chastain discussed the poster during Turner’s interview, she became very cautious about the fact that fans in that room may not have watched the final episode yet and hence, in order to not ruin the ending for them, Turner immediately tried to cover up by jokingly telling Chastain that the show’s ending was better left undiscussed, at least at that point in time.
