Is Dr. Dre The Next Real Estate Mogul? The Artist is Selling This Home For a Massive Profit, and Here is How He Did It!

The lifestyle of those who have a lot of money is understandably different compared to most of us, and when it comes to celebrities there are additional differences because of the added advantage of fame.

This difference becomes perfectly apparent when we look at the kind of houses our favorite celebrities buy, because not only are these properties extraordinarily large, they also offer some added features to ensure privacy, such as high walls or structured greenery to block the view from the outside.

But another defining feature of celebrity real estate purchasing behavior is that their recently purchased house is bound to find its way back on the listings, mostly because they get bored with the house and want newer, better houses to bring some much-needed change of space in their life. At least that is probably why Dr. Dre is selling his residential property.

A Good Profit

It was about five years ago that Dr. Dre had decided to buy the house occupied by supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her husband Tom Brady in the Brentwood region of Los Angeles. The house cost him a massive $40 million at that time, which was justifiably proportional to the size of the property itself.

Since he now owns that beautiful property, obviously he no longer needs his mansion in the Woodland Hills region, and so he is putting it up for sale.

The house previously owned by Gisele and Tom is nothing short of spectacular.

According to the listing, Dr. Dre is willing to sell the Woodland Hills house for as low as $5.25 million, which would generate him a handsome profit considering he got the property for as low as $2.35 million around 20 years prior, although this profit figure would be much lower if we consider the impact of inflation.

The inflation-adjusted price amounts to $3.41 million, which means that, in real dollar terms, the musician would be generating $1.06 million in profit if the house sells at its listed price.

A Gorgeous House

Dr. Dre may have moved on to better properties, but he has consistently kept his older ones updated as well to ensure they don’t become too outdated and remain attractive enough for a buyer. This house is no exception to that rule.

Built over a three-story architecture and an area of around 16,200 sq. ft., the main building of the house was initially constructed back in 1987 as part of a community that came with gates. The community itself spread over an area of half an acre.

Although a seemingly humble abode, Dr. Dre’s Woodlands Hill home is sure to find a buyer soon enough for its unique appeal

The amenities of the house are more than sufficient for a large-sized family, with two kitchens, a cellar with enough space to keep around 250 wine bottles, a theatre to watch movies and TV shows, and also a fish tank with a massive 150-gallon capacity.

The living room allows for plenty of outdoor lighting to come in, thanks to the folding doors all around the space made of glass. As these doors are all around the house, they offer the resident a perfect blend of outdoor as well as indoor living without requiring much effort.
