It came to light that the Tucson area actually has several of these bomb shelters buried underground, and the nuclear fallout shelters were once normal structures that people wanted to build. They were constructed during a time when a man was not crazy for wanting an underground structure but, rather, was considered a responsible man for having a place of safety for his family should disaster strike.
